Grant BaronI don’t agree with this. I just think it’s up to the applicate to look this up. It’s asking for a mail address

N6ATFWe had a major issue in a session where the examinee thought they should use their residential for VEs' benefit, but wanted their PO to replace it before license issuance.

N6ATFNeeds to be more clear that they shouldn't do anything for VEs benefit, only their own benefit, forever.

"[FCC Mobility Division Deputy Chief Tom Derenge] recommended that VECs make it clear to applicants that their address will be public information when the new license is issued. He suggested advising that an alternative address, such as a PO Box or work address, would be acceptable. Derenge pointed out that once an address is in the FCC database, it’s nearly impossible to be permanently removed." -

Dave DiGiorgioDon't the applicants have to start out with an FRN number? If so, then it would already be public information I believe. I don't see the harm in it though, at least they wouldn't be able to blame any issues on the VEC.

Richard Bateman AdminActually the address is not published with the FRN -- only once a ham radio license is issued
